Hi, I’m Dhvani! I’m a native New Yorker born and raised in Queens, a first-generation South Asian woman, and now a mom of two. I know firsthand what it feels like to carry the pressure of perfection, to juggle multiple identities, and to feel like you have to get everything “right.” For me, those pressures showed up as anxiety, self-criticism and moments of hiding from reality.. I often felt caught between expectations at home and expectations out in the world—and I didn’t always feel like the people around me truly understood what that experience was like.
My own journey to understand and manage anxiety is what sparked my passion for mental health. I became fascinated by how deeply our environments, identities, and relationships shape our emotional well-being. I knew I wanted to help people feel seen, supported, and understood in their mental health struggles.
I went on to pursue my Master of Science in Social Work from the University of Louisville, and for the past 10 years I’ve been doing what I love—helping people work through the real-life challenges that impact their emotional and mental wellness. I want people to have access to healthier coping tools, better boundaries, and a safe place to talk about the fears and feelings they’ve been carrying alone.
Outside of my work as a therapist, you can usually find me experimenting with new recipes with my husband, watching my daughters grow into their own little personalities, or checking in on the people I love with a simple “How are you?”—because I can always sense when someone isn’t quite themselves. And yes, I’m often overthinking, overanalyzing, and researching new ways to create safe, loving spaces for the people around me.
Through my practice, my hope is to share accessible, down-to-earth self-help tools, relationship insights, and coping strategies so life can feel a little lighter, a little healthier, and a lot more manageable.
I can’t wait to “talk it out” with you.
